holliI joked about AU Karen Gillan not being allowed any more capes in my Yuletide story, but, uh, there was a GLORIOUS purple wool Victorian-style long cape at the thrift store today for $8, and I don't think I can bring myself to sell it. It has a double row of small buttons down the front from the collar to mid-chest, and a short overcape with black braid trim. It appears to be hand-made. It looks AWESOME on me, and also kind of makes me look like a lady Sherlock Holmes?
Of course, this now means I own two hooded cloaks (blue linen and green wool) and two capes, since I already have a blue wool WWII nurse's cape I never wear. I think I can justify keeping the purple cape if I sell the blue wool one. The cloaks are for, respectively, the Renn Fest and the next two Hobbit movies, so I think I can keep them.
