virtual garage sale, part one
Feb. 9th, 2013 05:12 pmThe first of no doubt several batches of stuff I would like to get rid of before I move. I would prefer that DC-area people claim it, as I will not have the spoons to ship stuff between now and the move. If I am asking money for something, it is to cover what I paid for it.

!950s postcard album, souvenir of someone's Caribbean vacation. There are some cool ones from Cuba. $10.

Milk crate full of comics, mostly 2004-2006, mostly DC. You can have all of them but my near-complete JLI run. In fact, I would prefer you take all of them, rather than cherry-picking. FREE.

My grandmother gives me very nice pajamas or lounge clothes for my birthday every year, and I inevitably never wear them and never get around to returning them. Never worn, very nice, all size M. FREE.

1960s sewing machine, Signature brand. Bought it from the original owner, who used it regularly, never used it myself. Comes with carrying case. All metal and HEAVY. $40.

Very bright and cheerful paint-by-number painting. Turns out to not match anything else on my walls. $7.

Child's tea set. White ceramic, no chips or cracks. FREE.

Adjustable dressmaker's dummy. Goes from I think a 28" waist to a 38". Only used for Etsy staging. $100.

Various books. If you see a title you like, I will pull it out for you. FREE.
There is definitely more to come. Right now I feel like I've hardly made a dent in how much stuff I have; I keep thinking I've made some progress and then I look around and there's still SO MUCH STUFF. If I wasn't so embarrassed about the state of the house, I'd say I wish I had help sorting through everything, but, well-- the house is in a state. Moving: not my favorite.
