my one-sentence reaction to Man of Steel

This might be the first superhero movie I've seen where they got all the female characters absolutely right, and everything else about the movie absolutely wrong.

Well, that sounds interesting, at least. I was very ho-hum about it, but I might actually go and see it now.

Yep, totally agreed. I actually really liked it, except for the big strikes everyone else already mentioned (Pa Kent being like "who cares, let all your friends die!" and Clark failing to take the boss fight away from Metropolis.) Apparently, like 90% of what I care about in a Superman movie is Lois, and if you get her just right (as this movie totally did, IMO) then that's at least an A minus. *G* (Although to be fair I might have more opinions about Clark's personality if they had bothered to give him one.)
