holliGod bless her, Tamora Pierce is a TROLL.
When she got up to speak at the National Book Festival yesterday, she read the first page of her book in a dull monotone while coughing incessantly.
Then she put the book down, and was like “PSYCH. That never gets old. You should see the looks on your faces!” and went on to be witty and charming and delightful.
I'm totally offering to write Tortall for Yuletide now.

Date: 2013-09-24 02:06 am (UTC)When I was a teenager I was part of a Tortall RPG, and we decided to do member "awards" kind of like the Oscars. For at least two years, Tammy graciously showed up in our chatroom and MC'd the award ceremony, chatting with everyone there. It meant so, so much to us.
