 Does anyone else regularly dream about nonexistent (but super detailed) episodes of TV shows and movies? When I do, I also usually slip back and forth between watching the story and being a character in it, for extra weirdness. 

Last night I dreamed an episode of Steven Universe which introduced a gem called Iolite, who had two bodies like the Rutile twins. Except one had a French accent and the other had a Southern accent. And the voice actors were male. And I distinctly remember thinking, in the dream, that this was weird, but it was an early episode and they must not have worked out all the lore yet.

Not regularly, but occasionally! It's usually in the form of, "Oh wait, it turns out that there's been a missing episode of [series] all this time that I've never seen!", and I get to watch it. Seldom, however, do I remember the actual plot.

Only once do I remember being a character in something, and that time I was on the bridge of the original Enterprise, which was not at all shabby. :D

My favorite is from at least 20 years ago, where I dreamed there was an Edward Gorey-style animated Phantom of the Opera. Which I still am waiting for.

1) I follow you on tumblr and here and had no idea you were the same person.

2) I want a gem named Lolite.

3) I frequently have meta commentary in my dreams that try to explain my dreams. Like, "this is an early episode" or "gee, this movie sure has plot-holes" or "but my mother isn't a bear! Oh, this is an alternate universe." So weird.

I frequently dream about nonexistent songs in musicals, only to forget every lyric and most of the tune when I wake up. I recently had a dream about the first draft of a song that, in my dream, was heavily censored for content before it got to stage, but was sung by my character (a character I have never played in my life).

It's very frustrating from a songwriting point of view. I don't think I've ever had tv episode dreams though, at least none I can think of.
