So, They Might Be Giants...

...was awesome. AWESOME. They played "Birdhouse in Your Soul," and "Ana Ng," and "Doctor Worm," and "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)," and other things that rocked. There were dial-a-drum-solos ("For a drum solo in the style of Animal from the Muppets, press or shout ten!" "TEN!!!" badadam badum dumdum da dum). We found out where the weapons of mass destruction are-- as it turns out, in the accordion. Who knew? Also, apparently Charlie's Angels 2 is to movies as the guitar saxophone-syntheisizer is to music.

God, TMBG is so much fun. Now I have to build a time machine so I can attend all the shows I missed over the course of high school.

So. Bitterly. Jealous.

I would jump out of my window to my painful death to demonstrate how jealous I am, but I live on the 2nd floor, and I'd just scrape up my knees and that would be irritating.

But don't doubt my jealousy.

Well, apparently they're going to be in Naperville, IL on August 30th, and Turin, NY on the 31st. And they generally post tour dates as they're made on the website, so you might get to see them yet!
