Seth elbowed Ryan, hard. "Dude! There she is. No, don't-- don't look!" He grabbed Ryan's arm as he turned, spinning him in the opposite direction and dragging him back around the corner of the building. "Don't let her see us looking at her, man, she'll think I have to practice before I talk to her."

Ryan shot him one of those opaque Ryan-looks he did so well. "You do have to practice before you talk to her. You've been doing it for the last five minutes."

"But does she know that? No! And let's keep it that way!" Seth peered around the corner again, biting his lip anxiously. "She looks mad. Or possibly sleepy-- I can't tell, with the big Jackie O. sunglasses."

Another Ryan-look. "Okay. Okay, I'm gonna go talk to her... now."

He set off across the quad, to where Summer was sitting on a bench, frowning at the apple she held in her hand. "Summer! Lovely day we're having, love the shades, definitely a good look.." Summer raised the glasses, pushing them up to rest on top of her head. Her eyes were bloodshot, and there were shadows-- actual shadows, and here Seth had though that Newport girls never looked anything but perfect-- under her eyes. "Yow. Sleep well last night?"

Summer scowled. "Dreams. Very vivid dreams. It seemed easier to just not sleep, at the time."

"Uh-huh, I see, and did yours truly have any sort of a role? Starring, perhaps, or was it more of an ensemble piece--" Summer thwapped him lightly on the arm. "Ow!"

Rolling her eyes, Summer said "Puh-lease. Big baby. I barely touched you."

"Well, you must have come into some superpowers lately, beacuse that's gonna bruise!" He sighed theatrically. "Times like this, I wish I wasn't too Jewish to take the Lord's name in vain."

"Yeah, whatever. And, by the way, you were so not even featured in last night's nocturnal horror show. It was all monsters and killing and dying-- yuck. I'm never watching another scary movie, like, ever."
