I realized a little while ago that this LJ has not seen a single post about my actual life in weeks, if not months. So I think I'll take this opportunity to catch up on what I've been doing.

Over winter break, I:
-learned how to knit
-saw Peter Pan, Big Fish, and RotK twice
-bought Sixteen Candles on DVD; saw Grosse Pointe Blank repeatedly
-got lots of new sweaters
--and DVDS
--and this nifty FM broadcaster thingy for my iPod

My schedule this semester is finally finalized, as of Friday. I have:
Into to Archaeology, T-Th 9:00-10:20
Ancient Near East, T-Th 10:30-11:50
Contemporary American Short Stories, T-Th 3:00-4:20
19th Century Literature, M-W 2:30-3:50

I really like all my classes.

I am going to rush Kappa Beta Gamma in the fall.

Nobody goes to improv rehearsal anymore, myself included. But when we do go, someone always makes the motor oil joke.

[livejournal.com profile] debg, I remembered what I wanted to tell you. It's to do with music. I'll be on AIM at some point.

Since getting back to school, I have knitted a scarf and a half, a knitting bag originally intended as a laptop cozy, and the start of another cozy/bag. I need more yarn.

I miss my Potomac peeps. Also, I am way too white to use the word "peeps" without the word "marshmallow" in front of it.

I need to get financial aid for the fall lined up, in a bad way. I also have no idea how to do this.

I am kind of obsessed with Neopets right now.

Oh, and my new textbooks cost way too much. And I need to sell my old textbooks. Anyone want some textbooks?

Not a tag line but should be.

You know, I interviewed for an archaeology teaching job at your institution in 2001. Didn't get it, obviously, but I'm having fun imagining you in my class if I had!

Re: financial aid, surely there's an office. Fill out the FAFSA. It is soooo fun.

Yay on the learning how to knit! Holli, this Sunday, the yarn store that's near my house is having its annual Superbowl Sale, as are the embroidery store and the quilting store (both of which are conveniently right next door to the yarn shop). Let me know if you'd be interested in paying a visit.

(This is Anne W. from Buffistas--I find that my lj name confuses people)

Oh! You know, we had a Sophia P. at some point-- on Worldcrossing, maybe-- and I think I've always assumed you were her. Oops.

Where are you, IRL? Anywhere actually near Lancaster?

Actually, I'm in Baltimore. For some reason, I thought you were in the DC area. Huh.

I am in the D.C. area, when I'm not at school. I'm sure there's a yarn store here-- I mean, it's Amish country-- but it's really cold out and I don't have a car, so I doubt I'll be going soon.

OH SUSANNA YARNS
2204 MARIETTA AVE.
LANCASTER, PA 17603

I've never actually been there but some of my alum friends said that was where they went, if they didn't want to go to Wal-mart.

I will drive you if you do one of the following things:
1) I need a hat, my head is cold. I think you get the idea.
or
2) A certain person we both know (A, which doesn't stand for Angel) gets asked out by a specific buffy-fan that you know very well.

I hope that this brings merriment to your day

Okay, yes to the hat, but enough with playing matchmaker! It's a little overly.

Sorry for being overly. I'm just excited and I have "Fiddler on the roof stuck in my head."

Matchmaker, Matchmaker, make me a match. Find me a find. Catch me a catch.
Matchmaker, Matchmaker, make me a match. Oh, find me the perfect match.

Hey bebe. I *knew* you'd remember the question eventually.

Not likely to be on AIM today (hosting writers group tonight, and it's a full house), but tomorrow, you betcha.
