Hanukah lights
Dec. 5th, 2004 07:06 pmLots of people are doing their holiday wish lists, so I though I'd do one too, because I am a sheep. There are two lists: one for completely unrealistic things that I hope someday to own but probably won't for a good long while, and one for stuff that I can reasonably expect to get for myself anyway.
1. I saw a dress on Ebay, once. It was garnet-colored velvet, from the 1940s, sleeveless and drapey and cut low in the back. Someday I will own a dress like that.
2. A spinning wheel. No, seriously. They're insanely expensive, but I'm gonna buy one eventually.
3. A trip to Disney World. This might happen if I can find anyone else who wants to go for Spring Break, but it's not likely.
4. A pony. My parents cruelly refused to take me to Pony Penning Day on Chincoteague Island as a small child, and I'm still bitter.
1. Yarn, yarn, yarn. If anyone on my flist wants hand-knitted mittens or a hat or something, I'd totally knit it for you if you bought me the yarn. I don't have any projects going on right now-- I can't finish Harold until winter break-- so I'm itching to knit something new.
2. Books. And comics. Which is obvious, I know.
3. Clothes that make me look like a grown-up.
4. Clothes that make me look like a twelve-year-old-- like Muppet Show t-shirts and things. Yes, I am a contradiction.
5. Decent grades. Actually, maybe this should go in the first list.

I'd love to give you any of those things, but I don't actually know you nor have I ever met you in person. although I might be able to send a ball of yarn through sarah (your cousin, that is).
I wouldn't mind getting mittens, though. =).
