I'm always happy when other people share my interests. When those interests are knitting and comic books?

Things can get interesting.

Mark Newport's exhibit at the Greg Kucera Gallery in Seattle features hand-knitted superhero costumes and embroidered comic book covers. As a comic book geek, I'm thrilled to see big names like Batman and Spider-man sharing space in an art gallery with lesser-knowns like Michael Chabon's Escapist. As a knitter, I'm a little disappointed that he used acrylic, and wondering if the Bat-cowl would make a good hood on a sweater.

To be fair, wool can be crazy expensive, especially if he's knitting a full-on bodysuit. And, if he misgauged the amount that he needed, RedHeart doesn't require him to go nuts trying to find that damn dye lot from three years ago.
