I'm back! Vacation was very fun. We spent two days at Universal, a day and a half at Sea World, and a day and a half at Disney-- in which we managed to visit all four parks, which is very impressive. Some notes:

The Spider-man ride at Islands of Adventure kicks ASS, and I say this as an inveterate ride wuss.

Also, there is a comic book store in Islands of Adventure. But it has kind of a shitty selection.

Whoever had the idea of putting coin-op water cannons along the paths of the log flume and the rafting ride at Universal is a GENIUS.

Universal employees don't have to be as clean and shiny as Disney ones, which means they often tell more interesting stories.

Back to the Future ride = still fun.

Everyone should go to Sea World at least once. Granted, I already had, when I was five, but my sisters hadn't and it was fun anyway.

I got to feed a dolphin! And several sea lions!

They should really do something about the smell in the penguin building. Hoo boy.

For some reason, Universal and Sea world attract a greater proportion of scary-, trashy- and otherwise unpleasant-looking tourists. I saw SO MANY MULLETS there. And a Mennonite family, oddly enough.

I still love Disney best of all. Am very disappointed that we didn't get to go on the new ride at Epcot, but the line was INSANE, and we still got to do Test Track and Universe of Energy and a bunch of other stuff, so I'm happy.

MGM is still really fun, though I'm confused by the changes to the backlot.

Muppetvision 3-D! Hooray!

I now have Bunsen and Beaker dolls. They are SO CUTE.

Animal Kingdom isn't as lame as it used to be-- they added some good rides, including an insanely spinny roller coaster.

And on the dinosaur ride, I continued our family tradition of having my eyes closed and my head down on all rides scary enough for your picture to get taken at the end.

Oh! At the Magic Kingdom, it was so crowded on Main Street that they were diverting people as the entered the park, and making them go out one of the cast-only exits, around the back and back in through Tomorrowland. It was kind of depressing-- we saw the seamy underbelly! The magic is gone!

Okay, the magic's not really gone. I'm going back for Spring Break, if I can. But still!

Also, "offices." Hee.
