holliI almost forgot-- I posted a wee snippet of Courtney/Billy on #dcu the other day, and to put it up here as well.
In all honestly, Billy isn't that great a kisser. Not that he's *bad* at it-- totally not that, and Courtney would never want him to think otherwise-- but not, like, spectacular. And not that she has a lot to *compare* him to, but still. She always knows when he was about to kiss her, because he starts wiping his palms on the leg of his jeans about ten minutes in advance, and they always take a minute to get their noses aligned, and one time he got his lip caught on her braces, which was awkward and kind of hurt.
But she's okay with that, really, because he's cute and sweet and funny, and really, adorably easy to shock-- the first time they made out in the back of a movie theater was like a revelation for him. He couldn't *believe* that you could just *do* that.
And, okay, maybe she's heard some stuff about Superboy that makes Billy seem positively *tame*, but hey. Courtney's not surprised by *anything* she years about the Titans-- she remembers meeting some of them, when they were Young Justice, and they were all kind of intense compared to her. And she doesn't need as much intensity in her life as the Titans give off, nuh-uh, no way.
Billy isn't intense either, but he *gets* it, gets *her*, who she is and why she does it, because he has a lot of the same reasons. Because he *can*, because he's *good* at it, because it feels *right*. They don't have any horrible personal trauma driving them, either of them, and they don't need it.
And right now? Billy's got his arm around her waist, and her shirt's kind of rucked up a little in the back, so he's kind of brushing his fingers over the bare skin at the small of her back. And he's kissing her like they're in an empty movie theater, which she knows is hard for him to do because he *is* kind of self-conscious, and her braces haven't even gotten in the way at all. And it's kind of perfect.
Other highlights of that wonderful, wonderful channel: Animorphs slash, Battle of the Tim AUs, and hysterically funny HP badfic. And, you know, porn.
