things i did
Feb. 15th, 2006 10:17 pmI'm almost done with the scarf I'm knitting. When I'm finished, I'll go back to spinning the last of the yarn I need for FBS #2. The first one turned out great, but I knitted in in cotton so I have to keep re-blocking it. This one is alpaca, wool and silk, from a roving I bought at the Sheep & Wool Festival last year, so it should hold its shape better.
Valentine's Day was uneventful-- one of the kids at work gave all of us working there a little dish of candies each, which was *adorable* of him. I had a babysitting job that night, most of which I spent watching the Olympics, oh my god, I want Johnny Weir to win a million medals just so he can get interviewed a lot and be unintentionally hilarious and adorable in his swan costume.
On a much, much more depressing note, I just watched Hotel Rwanda. TV needs to *stop making me cry*. Even though this was, in fact, a movie, and I just watched it *on* TV. But I *never* cry at TV, and I would say that this was just because this film is unbelievably moving, except that just yesterday I was getting sniffly at *skiing*. So I don't even know what's going on.
