Speaking of Yuletide: Plan A is currently set aside in favor of a Plan B I actually know how to write, which will at least meet the minimum. Anyone know how to semi-competently construct a mystery plot who is willing to offer advice on Plan A?

January 1 (or sooner! *g*) Vintage clothing for costume party: Can you give advice on finding clothes that don't cost a bazillion dollars? Advice on finding present day hacks? The Downtown Abbey / Penny Dreadful type stuff is inspiring -- and familiar to people who aren't period fashion savvy -- but I'm not holding to any single historical period (though I want before the '50s at least).
